We conduct programs like tours, camping, seminars, workshops, exhibition and also celebrate the annual World Tiger Day and Earth Day Camp. Our tours cover the 3 main elements that will excite your palate and broaden your mind – CAN (Culture, Adventure, Nature).
- Culture: The authenticity, historical and cultural heritage of the Kampung Sungai Yu is quite distinct from other regions of peninsula Malaysia. Here, you will meet the Malay and Orang Asli communities and get up close and personal with their daily activities and listen to their interesting encounters with wildlife and how do both humans and wildlife live harmoniously in their area. You can experience life in rural village, in rubber estates and fruit orchard. Play traditional games, music and performances and taste or even cook the traditional delicacies and cookies together with the local communities. Try the rubber leaf craft-making.
- Adventure: Kampung Sungai Yu is located in an area which contains a large number of limestone hills and karst tower monuments, where one very distinctive cave entrance is documented – the Gua Harimau (Tiger Cave) also known as Gua Jinjang Pelamin (Bridal Dais Cave). One will be in awe with the dry passages above and a karst river system feature below. Enjoy the limestone caves exploration. Other than cave, Kampung Sungai Yu is one of the main gateways to Peninsula Malaysia’s premier national park, Taman Negara. Be part of the national parks touring and jungle walks/wildlife watching.
- Nature: Here, the ever-wet rainforests are home to a dizzying array of tropical fauna and flora. Kampung Sungai Yu offers bird-watching, identifying medicinal plants and herbs, interpreting the diversity of flora and fauna, and monitoring changes of forest canopy density. The location of the project is in a widely spread area containing a large number limestone hills and karst tower monuments. Show your wildlife photography talent and enjoy the bird-watching tours. Join the tree planting activities at wildlife viaduct corridors.
